Knowing Vince - Volume 1

I fell in love and married my soulmate ! He happens to have a similar name to the guy from Erasure !
We have been through some of the most trying times but we remain strong and continue to persevere !
We have learned a lot from past experiences. We have also been hurt and betrayed from those we thought were close to us. But somehow, we still manage to believe that family should be there for you no matter what.
People who know who the “Real” Vincent Clark is will know that he is one of the most caring and empathetic people on Earth. He listens to what you have to say and has an incredibly sharp memory.
He is always willing to help. He is a leader in computer technology and a master in creating video memories. I believe strongly in his computer endeavors and know it will become a great success !
He has strong religious and political views but is able to intelligently discuss different viewpoints.
He has a strong capacity to love as long as you don’t break his heart. He loves unconditionally. I am truly fortunate to have met one of my best friends in life . I know he brings out the best in me and I am forever grateful !
to be continued …

Now is the time to just write about the latest events. Things have been going by so fast that I really don’t have the time to write, but here goes ! Hubby is now out of hospital, but still in a lot of pain. Makes me mad cause I can’t really do that much to help. We are being optimistic that the next set of Dr.’s will do all they can to fix this medical mystery. Yes, he should see Dr. House ! Work is work. I would much rather be somewhere else. I have started painting again thanks to Vincent. I just need a little motivation. Maybe its the rebelliousness in me that makes me not want to do something because I am being forced to against my will. Don’t get me wrong, I love to draw & paint. It is my passion. But I feel like that is really what I was meant to be doing with my life. At least I know that I am good at it and I can bring joy to other people. I will definitely continue. Let’s see, we just celebrated my best friend’s birthday and had a nice Thai dinner . Very good & flavorful food. I have found that I really enjoy hanging out with good friends and I also want to appreciate the finer things in life. People may call me shi-shi, but you know what ? Good !! What is wrong with enjoying a cup of tea or shopping for good quality shoes & clothes when they will last a long time and still look classic ? The one thing that I want to do more is travel, but you need the money and then the vacation days which I have seemed to run out of nearing the end of the year ! My mom’s retirement party is coming up so that should be fun. In the back of my mind I have still been brainstorming for something I would like to do to have some kind of home business on the side. It’s funny because there are so many things that I would like to do… The more I think about it, I really feel that happiness is a state of mind. It’s not where you say, when I make more money I will be happy, etc. I really feel that life is short and that we need to enjoy it now because you really never know when it’s your time to go. My co-worker’s son witnessed the 11 year old girl who was hit by an SUV crossing the street to go to school. She passed away 2 hours later in the hospital. My heart goes out to her family. Just something to think about. Life is the most precious thing on this earth. Society needs to start changing & start caring. I wish people weren’t so closed-minded & selfish. I do believe in being optimistic and that there is still hope for the future.
Before the Rain

I just saw a foreign film that Vincent purchased called “Before the Rain” from the new Macedonia. It is political, religious and shows the effects of a divided people. There are some violent images which portray the ideas of tribalism and the effects of war. You would never believe that such acts could take place in such a pastoral & peaceful setting of a very small village that seems to have been lost in time. It is also hard to imagine how these 2 divided groups were once friends in the past, going to the same schools and then all of a sudden things have turned and people ban together to gain revenge and not really knowing the truth of the matter.
It makes you think about history and the events that spiralled when the Soviet Union crumbled. Is this what happens to society when there is no more leadership ? People are not able to govern themselves & resort to becoming gangs & thugs illiciting their own desires of power ? What about living in harmony. Being kind to your neighbors ? Being kind to people & nature ? Is their own religion so over-powering that they are not cognizant or respectful of another person’s religion that they can justify their own killing or “ethnic cleansing” ?
It is interesting to see the scene set in London . There are small pieces that tie this together with the events that happened in the first part. You will find that the characters have a connection. The photographs are also related. There is a live turtle in the tank in the restaurant. There is a man who gets into a fight with a waiter there, then returns shooting a gun at everyone in sight & for what purpose ? To get revenge ?
It is hard to imagine how people can becoming so angry that they will resort to violence to make a point. This is senseless & barbaric. You tend to wonder if they really believe in what their religion preaches. Is it really justified that one person takes the life of another ? Or these people truly believe that their religion is so superior that they must destroy any others that may exist or are a threat to their own livelihood ? Then there are also the disturbing images of small children using weapons & holding fire arms. The children grow up with all of the violence and fighting around them & then they somehow become oblivious to it. This loss is such a tragedy.
There is an ongoing theme which is presented before us : “Time never dies ; The circle is not round”
There is talk of how “the rain is coming”. You hear the thunder & see the dark clouds in the distance… This is a foreshadowing of the events to come.
